Adoption Information

Adoption Hours:

Please call the shelter at (401) 766-0377 before visiting to ensure that someone will be there to greet you upon your arrival.

Adoption Policy:

After meeting the pet you would like to adopt, the ACO or a volunteer will perform a brief screening. Depending on the status of the pet you are choosing (i.e. vaccinations, spay/neuter, etc.) the Shelter requires that you leave a deposit which will be returned after you obtain proof of spay/neuter and rabies vaccines from the veterinarian of your choice. From there, you will be asked to complete the necessary adoption paperwork; once that is complete, the pet will then be released to you.

Adoption Costs:

  • Adult Spayed / Neutered Cat $150.00 (includes microchip)
  • Unaltered Kitten $75.00 + $25.00 spay / neuter deposit
  • Adult Spayed / Neutered Dog $250.00 (includes microchip)
  • Unaltered Puppy $75.00 + $25.00 spay / neuter deposit
